23 & 1/2 Week Doctor Check Up

The doctor said Baby Weldon and Mom are right on track with weight, measurements, and heart rate!  Doctor said keep doing what you are doing!!  Sigh of relief......
Mom got to hear your hear beat along with watching her belly move up and down as you kicked!!  It was amazing to watch your heart rate climb as voices spoke or as the doctor placed her hand on mom's belly.  Next check up will be a blood test to test the levels of sugar for gestational diabetes, and a tetanus shot which will help your immune system your first year.

Almost to the third trimester!!

Belly Photo 23 Weeks & 2 Days

Mom is not longer able to wear her skirts at belly button height, it is ether over the belly or under the belly!!  This week has felt like a week where the belly has doubled because Mom is having a hard time buckling her cute strapy saddles, it take about 10 minutes vs. two minutes!  Dad will have to start helping with the shoe department prior to leaving for work.  On the plus side it has been amazing for Mom to feel you move and kick!  It stops her dead in her tracks, so keep kickin ;)

FOOD FOOD FOOD - I can't get enough!!

Mom's new favorites:
Raisins
Pickle sandwich with peanut butter & spinach
Tomato soup with carrots
Graham Crackers with ice cream

Best is toast with peanut butter, pickles, and raisins!!!

Baby Weldon is growing again because Mom is eating every hour, of course not a meal but there are a lot of snack breaks through out the day that compose of hot cereal, granola bars, raisins, oranges, fruit snacks, animal crackers, graham crackers, pretzels, cheese, trail mix, etc. the list could go on!

Mom has found out that food taste soooo much better when she has Little Weldon in her belly, one extra person to share it with :)

Mom is feeling you move, punch and kick!

Baby Weldon is a mover and shaker.  Most the activity happens at around 8:30-10pm when mom is just sitting down from the day.  It is like you can sense she is trying to relax and you are ready to move again!
The first movement felt like a little butterfly but now that you are bigger it is defiantly a jab or a kick.  Dad has also been lucky enough to feel the movement with placing his hand on mom's belly.  I guess you will be a soccer player or into kickboxing.  Mom loves the movement but it comes still to a surprise when you get that little jab.

Week 23: Singin' in the womb!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 23

~length
11.4 in | 29 cm

Your little womb hi-jacker is starting to kick their break-dance party up a notch now that his/her ears are registering sounds from the outside world!
The sound of a phone ringing (or that catchy ring tone), a thunder clap, or a car honking will actually jar their little ears enough to elicit a kick or violent bout of squirming.
More importantly, this means that their little ears are picking up the sounds of your voice and others around you.
So, if you've been yelling a lot (and really, who doesn't get cranky when they're pregnant?) it's time to reign that in and practice a little self restraint for the sake of your little eavesdropper, who is becoming more exquisitely sensitive to all of your behaviors every day.
The equation is simple: happy healthy mama = happy healthy baby.
Stress during pregnancy is quite literally BAD for your baby's developing brain. It's time to clean out the toxic relationships and situations in your life for your sake and your child's sake.
Take the time to center and be quiet - to reflect on the growing life inside of you and the future you will share together. Read up on infant development and attachment to start preparing yourself for the first time you meet your child.

Dream Update!

The dreams Mom is having have still been crazy!!  Last nights dream was that the Weldon's were getting a pet Deer.  It was so cute, small, and we even had it on a leash.  But Mom knows that would not make for a happy Jet ;)

The other dream from a few weeks ago was that Mom was on the show Bachelorette, but she still found true love and married your Dad.

The next dream was during the Olympics and your Mom was a gymnastics gold medalist!!

I am sure there will be more to come......It seems that when little Weldon has a growth spirt Mom has some crazy dreams!
