Duke is 11 Months Old!!

Duke is 11 months old!!  Wow one month till the big 1. Mom cannot believe 11 months ago he was in her tummy and now he is walking, talking, and eating right before his eyes.  Thanks to a doc visit Duke now weights 20 lbs 14oz and 28 1/2" long.  A big growing boy.
Mom loves this one, classic Duke stance!

Not Duke's best look - can tell he is a little under the weather.

Please don't mind his crazy hair - yes he needs a hair cut.

Walking towards mom.

Looking to play with the door.

Duke is 46 Weeks Old!!

Wow what a week......The week started off great for Duke and took a dive down when he got sick :(  All weekend, starting Thursday night Duke had a fever, and cold symptoms.  He was just not the same, except for when he would get his burst of energy for a chunk of the day and start walking, talking and playing.  This morning mom and dad brought Duke back into the Doctor, they first went on Friday, due to his fever still being present.  Turns out he has an ear infection in both ears, plus a virus and teething.  Duke still flashed the Doctor a few smiles and was a great patient through it all.  Duke will now start some meds and follow up with some rest to recover......It is a first for Duke and probably more to come down the road but what a trouper.  We still had lots of fun this week so check out our photos.
Trying to tater tot hotdish - Duke did not like.....

I love to climb stairs.

Trying on some boots and like moon boots.

Having fun wrestling on the bed.

Looking for dad to come home from work, Duke loves to open and close doors.

Mom and Duke having fun with the camera.

Friday morning when mom pick Duke up from daycare, took a little nap prior to seeing the doctor.

Do you think he is teething?  Also sick! Yuck.

Still has smiles when not feeling the best.

Fighting the fever.....he was just not the same little man.  Lots of sleep!

All smiles again

On Saturday afternoon, all of a sudden Duke felt better and got right up to take his dog for a walk.

Duke still loves mirrors!

Helping mom with unloading the dishes.

Reading to mom and following the baby in the book.  This is Duke's favorite book.

Now reading to Jet and Jet slides in a kiss.

Resting with dad.

We are counting our toes.

Lots of baths this weekend and Duke has now said Bubbles!  It was just too cute the way he said it.

Jet hiding from all the action.

Duke is 45 Weeks Old & Has Taken His First Steps!

A big accomplishment for Duke this week - he started walking!!!  On a sad note, lots of mom's photos got lost :(  Due to an update gone bad all her photos going back to May got deleted - but she had most of them backed up so just lost a week worth of photos.  However due to Facebook she could download a few to share with you.  Besides the big first steps the end of the week Duke took a trip to Sea Life at the Mall of America to visit some fish!  At first Duke was very frightened!  Mom had to take a break after the first 10 minutes for a early lunch break but after the 2nd attempt he felt right at home with the fish and loved standing up on the glass and looking at them swim right by!  Take a look at this week's fun, sorry sooo short but lots ahead as he is about to turn 11 Months old this Sunday.

How about food for Duke - duke is eating lots of string cheese, bread, crackers, puffs, yogurt and plenty of pureed food.  He will eat pretty much anything you put in front of him.  Mom has steamed carrots and he loves those.  He has eaten pasta mom has made but only likes it the first time around, left overs don't seem to be a favorite.

Nothing like a little afternoon nap

Yup Duke still loves to be put in a box, so we thought we'd see if Jet likes it too.

Duke reading his book ;)

Enjoying bath time with dad

Loving his cups again

Both Duke and Jet playing with their toys.

Duke loves to look through the gate going downstairs - he also loves to open and close it.  Duke loves to close and open any door theses days.  We almost lost him when he closed himself in a room ;)  So curious about how they open and close!

These are photos from the Sea Life at MOA

Playing with the glass as the fish swim by.

Trying to be as tall as him.....it will come with time.

Mom is amazed with how much Duke is starting to stretch and thin out - his arms seem so long these days to her.
