Wow can you believe it Duke is 15 months and oh what this boy has accomplished since he turned one! Today we had Duke's 15 month check up and he is right on track - a normal, healthy little man! He is weighing in at 24 1/2 lbs and 31 1/2" tall and mom forgets what his head came in at but was normal. The biggest change in the last three months is how Duke has become Mr. Independent and soaking in every work/action that we do. The Doc asked us how many words Duke says and we realized it is over 20! What are his new favorite words.....funny, yeehaw, beep, puppy, juice (even though he has never had any juice).
About a little over a month ago we eliminated the night bottle and that went amazing along with reading a book twice and then bed time - so Duke is all on his own going to bed for nap and night time. I guess he was ready - mom and dad were not. The funny part is Duke will wake up a few times a week early in the morning and just sit up in his crib and talk. Doesn't cry, wine or anything just sits there. Eventually he goes right back to bed, so we are thinking he is just dreaming.
Duke's favorite toy - he loves to puts things in things. So he loves small blocks where he can put them in buckets, but yet he still has a love for books.
We did take Duke swimming a few weeks ago and wow did he love it! It took him a little while to warm up but after a little bite he was on the run. He loved running through the water and took many falls followed by some big gulps of water. We are still working on our swimming but that will come.
The weather is getting warmer finally! We have been outside more and more - lots of walks, and at Daycare they are outside almost everyday. He loves playing in the snow and exploring what the ground has to offer ;)
Well lets take a look at some photos from our fun adventures!

Working on some Easter photos for the Grandma's. Mom realized it is way to hard to take photos of a 15month old because they move and move and don't stop moving! Thats ok, it is just that more fun to try. |
