Happy First Easter Duke!!

The Weldon's celebrated Easter a day early with a trip to meet the Easter Bunny, opening Duke's Easter basket and hunting for Easter eggs!  Grandma & Grandpa Schmitt made a trip down for the day to spend some time with the Weldon's as well and had some good laughs.  Here are photos that made the day very special:

Typical Day For The Weldon Family!

Duke will wonder what did a typical day look like when he was young (3 months old), so mom thought she would share.....
- 3-4:30am Duke wakes to nurse (he goes to bed at 8:30ish so he is sleeping really well)
-5:15am Mom is up, making some coffee and getting her shower in, and gets Jet out for a pee & some breakfast
-6am ish Mom is pumping some milk for Duke, and enjoying some breakfast
-6:20am Dad wakes and gets ready for the day
-7am Mom wakes Duke and gets him ready for daycare
-7:20am Mom, Dad, and Duke are out the door (Duke is heading to Daycare)
-8:30amish Duke takes his first bottle at daycare, followed by a short nap (Duke currently doesn't like morning naps
-9amish Mom is pumping at work
-11an-12pm Duke takes 2nd bottle at Daycare
-Noonish Mom is pumping at work
-1pm - 3pm Duke will take a nap usually only 45min to maybe 2 hours
-3pm - Mom is pumping at work
-3:15pm Duke is taking his 3rd bottle at Daycare
-4:30pm Mom or dad is leaving work to pick up Duke! (Duke likes to take a little nap on the way home, which is a 5 min drive) and mom or dad will start dinner.
-5:45pm Dinner time for mom & dad - Duke enjoys some time in his highchair followed by dinner time for Duke around 6pm
-6:30pm PLAY TIME!  We usually play in the living room doing lots of little things
-7:15pm Duke eats a bed time treat (If its bath night a bath will be followed by this feeding)
-7:45pm Naked time in Duke's room where we do tummy time, and followed by reading two books.
-8:15-20pm Last feeding for the night and off to bed for Duke.  Mom and dad enjoy a little half hour prior to hitting the sack as well and then the days starts all over.  The days go so fast!

Fun Times with Cousin Gabby & Duke's New Toy!

Duke had his first Easter celebration this last weekend and enjoyed some time meeting more family!  Duke got to meet his Great Grandma Weldon who enjoys filling everyone's bellies on the holidays, Duke got a little taste through mom ;).  Duke also got to see Gabby again as we try to get them to be best friends ;)  Duke also got to enjoy his first Easter basket from Grandma & Grandpa Weldon!  Here are some photos sharing those moments mom & dad cherish along with Duke enjoying a new toy.

Duke is THREE MONTHS OLD!!

Mom & Dad cannot believe how fast the last three months have gone but yet if feels like forever when they were driving to the hospital to meet their new little addition to the Weldon family.  Mom feels that every time she puts an outfit on Duke it is smaller than the last time she put it on him.  This weekend she started putting away his three month's clothes and felt like she was just putting away his new born clothes along with the 1 diapers.  Duke is also really taking shape and every day he reflects an image of his dad but yet still has his mom's features when he is so relaxed and sitting with is bottom lip out.  Here are our 3 month photos - Mom had a really hard time getting just one with out his hands in his mouth, has she mentioned it is his favorite new thing to do!

Duke's 11 Weeks Old & Still Active As Can Be!

This week as Duke started daycare, mom & dad tried to get in as much time with him at night with playtime, reading, baths, and just staring at him.  Mom & dad still enjoy dinner together and have Duke sit at the table with them, trying to start the family dinner early!  It was a busy week with daycare, mom had her first day back to work, happy hour on Friday with friends, and Duke's three month photo session on Saturday.  Plus it is March Madness!  Mom & dad feel Duke's hair has started to grow more or fill in along with his eye lashes jetting out.  He is saying more baby words and getting a louder voice.  Dukes favorite part of the day is when he is gets his diaper changed and when mom gets him undressed, he just laughs out loud.  Duke has also realized he has hands and can grab things.  His favorite thing to do is put them in his mouth!  Some days they don't find his mouth but other days he just can't take them out ;)

Duke Starts Daycare

Duke is loving daycare and has taken a great liking to his daycare lady, Patty.  The first day Mom dropped Duke off he was laughing, talking and making sure he saw everything.  Mom and dad feel great about their choice with Patty who was referred to them from their neighbor who has brought their kids to Patty's house.  Mom had a hard time the first time dropping Duke off, it was a sad goodbye for a few hours.  Even though Duke seemed very happy the killer for mom was when he reached and grabbed her finger when she was saying bye.  One of the boys at daycare also helped mom feel more comfortable with bringing his camera to daycare to take pictures of Duke on his first day - so cute!  When mom went to pick him up that evening she was like a kid in a candy store with excitement and was all giddy.  Dad had his drop off on Friday and actually got scolded by the kids because he stepped off the carpet by the door with his shoes on, the kids really know the rules at Patty's house and know how to call you out on it ;)
Duke did great with taking the bottle with Patty but did not give her much rest.  His naps were very short but Duke's excuse was he wanted to see it all and play with the kids.  Mom & dad didn't mind because he slept great at night.

Fun Night Before Daycare!

Mom & Dad wanted to have some fun before Duke's big first day of daycare.  So.....They tried to weigh him and he gave in around 16LBS!!!  That seems a little high so they will wait till his 4 month apt to get an more accurate result but they know he is for sure getting big - giving them some pipes from carrying him around.  Later in the night there was some more naked time with dad, Jet, and Mom!

Mom is making sure to enjoy her last full day with Duke before he heads to daycare tomorrow and mom heads to work on Wednesday!  Mom will miss Duke's smile along with his energy to move and move during the days.  Here are some photos from their day filled with play time!
