Duke is 38 Weeks Old!

Busy week for Duke....He turned 9 months old, had some new babysitters this week and made a fun trip to the weekend!  What is Duke doing now that he passed the 9 month mark. We got to do some finger painting in the tub, visit a new friend, crawl all over the house, plus the cabin, and has even stood twice on his own!  This little boy has a bundle of energy, tons of giggles, and grunts.  You can lose him fast as he is fast but yet always takes the time to really take in the moment or the new object he has picked up or the new space he is in.  Duke has a special little look when he gets shy that melts moma's heart and will crawl to dad once he comes home from work that melts his heart!  Take a look at all the fun the Weldon's had this week!
At the Doctor's office passing some time while we wait.

These two sharing a little conversation

Look how much Duke has grown....just a little man.

I love the fridge!!!  Mom or dad will open the door and he is off to get in there.

Climbing over mom's legs.

Mom put Duke in the corner along with all the shoes to see if he could get out.

Started attempting to push Duke's teeth at night before bed.

Helping mom empty the dishwasher.

Having fun with Dad.

Playing with all of mom's old toys at the cabin.

Grandpa with the boys.

Duke knows right where to go to find some new toys in the kitchen.

Cuddle time.

Duke trying to get in on the card game.

Taking a hay ride!  Last year Duke was in mom's belly for the hay ride.

Duke loved the ride and looking at all the pretty trees.

We stopped at a river along the ride, Grandma and Duke.

Daddy and Duke along the river.

I just fit right under the table.

Doing pull-ups!

We took a walk to the bridge.

It was an amazing sunny fall day!

Look Who Turned 9 Months Old Today!!!

Today Duke is 9 months old!!  Duke loves the fridge, books, talking by saying Dad Dad and yes he did slip in mom yesterday!!!  Mom was in the bathroom and Duke was with Grandpa and defiantly wanted some mom love when the special word came out.  We will listen for it again as Dad Dad is still a favorite of his.  Duke still will crawl and climb anywhere he can get.  He loves the entertainment center, exploring how cupboards doors open, and trying to get to Jet's dish before mom or dad scoops it up.
Today mom was at home with Duke as Daycare is closed for the day and got to do another special finger painting session in the tub.  Duke was a little surprised he was sitting in the tub but mom thinks his favorite part was the bath afterwards and watching the water come out of the whale.
We also had Duke's 9 month appointment with the doctor.  Duke weighed in at 20lbs 8 0z and height was 28 1/4" long.  Right on track and Doc says a perfect growing boy.
Take a look at our 9 month photos!
Duke with all of his favorites!  His puppy, books, his table where he can stand, his driving tractor, and you cannot forget the fridge.

Enjoying some morning fun on his 9 month birthday!

Duke is 37 Weeks Old!

Duke is 37 Weeks old and still on the move!!  He is getting faster by the day which means house is even more child proof or we hope!  Duke has quite the voice while playing and you can tell he is trying to tell us something but who knows at this point but mom & dad really enjoying listening to him.  He also has a new favorite trick where he likes to gurgle while on his back, you just wonder how they learn sometimes.  He now knows where ever door stop is, because he could play with it for hours and it is for sure annoying.  If Duke can crawl over it he will, if he can use it to help him stand he will use it, if he can put it in his mouth he sure will!!  Love this stage :)

This was mom & dad's first weekend away with out Duke!  Duke stayed the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Schmitt while mom and dad went to a friend's wedding out of town.  Wow did Duke know something was going on when mom brought him to Grandma and Grandpa's house on Friday - he was not a happy camper.  This was a first for him and shocked mom to watch him cry as she left any room - separation anxiety took a full swing!  After about a 15 min cry session after mom and dad left he was in good hands and enjoyed the trip to the weekend or so they say......  When Sunday came mom was sure excited to get big hug from Duke followed by a big smile once back in mom's arms!

Check out our fun week of exploring!
When Mom picked up Duke from Daycare on a cold afternoon he was the only one with out a hat so it was time for some new winter/fall hats.

Cuddle time with dad right before bed time.

Always looking for Jet.

Enjoying an amazing evening at the park, couldn't ask for better fall weather.

Duke attempting to climb the mountain.

Enjoying some pasta!
