Duke's 13 Weeks Milestones & Memories

Duke continues to grow!  (yes we will tell you that every week)  This week Duke found out that he can lift and pound his feet down.  While Duke stands while holding on to mom & dad's hands he loves to lift and pound his feet down.  Almost like he is ready to take steps, yes we know that is not for months down the road but he just loves to lift his feet.  Duke also found his thumb!  When he gets tired or sometimes hungry he now knows how to get that small thumb in his mouth.  Duke also moved into his crib this week!  He did great and the first night he slept from 8:30ish till 5am!!  Mom & dad were so proud and also got a great night of sleep.
Feeding news......Duke has also increased his amount of eating.  He is eating anywhere from five to six ounces a feeding.  Mom can no longer keep up with her pumping :(  After some many stressful days, long hours of pumping mom is putting down the pump.  It was a big decision but with the stress and weight of the milk off mom's shoulders she is ok with the decision.  (Mom will tell you that breast feeding/pumping is probably the hardest thing she has ever done and gives all moms out there a big shout out for no matter how long you nurst)  So this week Duke took his first bottle that is mixed with around 3 ounces of breast milk, 3 ounces water plus formula.  Mom has a great supply of breast milk in the freezer so Duke will be enjoying that mix for a while.  Duke has handled the transition well so far, no fuss - time will tell.

Here are some photos from the week.

Doing knuckles with cousin Carter

Grandma Weldon straightening Duke's tie out.

With Aunt Amy, and cousin Gabby.

So BIG!  Look at those arms, that tummy, and that chest!

Talking to his favorite bear.

Our nightly play time.

First night in the crib!

Duke still loves to sleep with his arms straight up.

Ready for DayCare!

His first bottle mixed.

Working on his arm strength. Check out dad's face, he is actually pulling that hard :)

Loves to hold the bottle himself

Still out cold!

Having fun on a Saturday morning.  Unfortunately Duke has a small cold :( But still a happy boy.

This one is for Grandma Weldon ;)  (shirt is from Duke's Great Aunt Jenny)  This shirt went on Duke after he had a big BIG blowout!  We got him in his leggings and Dad isn't too sure about his boy wearing leggings yet.  Mom loves them.

 Too cute in blue!
Getting ready for an air plane...
 So much fun with Dad
Flying through the air and loving it.
Look at all that drool on dad :)

Enjoying an afternoon outside, the darn hat is a little too big.
All bundled and ready for a walk outside
I love my rings.  Duke is now grabbing and putting them in his mouth.
 First steps in the backyard!!!
