For one, your adorable poop-factory's meconium stockpile is growing (are you ready for that historical first tarry black poo?) as their baby fat stores continue to increase.
Most importantly, your wee genius' rapidly developing super-brain is abuzz with new brain cells that'll be growing for years to come.
Woohoo!
Whether you give birth tomorrow (yes!) or next week (aw), your fantastic baby is pretty much 100% ready to face the world outside of your womb.
And by "ready", we mean unable to hold their own head up or do much of anything other than cry, pee, poop, and eat... and steal your heart and sleep.
And how's mom doing?
Mom is starting to get impatient to meet you!!  This last week mom noticed that she went in a bulking stage along with sleeping when ever possible!  Mom wanted anything to do with sugar - fruit snacks again, peanut brittle, gummy bears, cookies, etc along with carbs!!  You must be storing some extra food for the big decent.  Mom had a rough sleep pattern last night but all weekend she would sleep about 12 hours each night - falling asleep after dinner and up at around 7ish.  Last night she was trying to get her thoughts wrapped around when you would arrive.  Hormones are still coming and going.  Bringing random nose bleed, mixed emotions, swelling of hands, feet, etc.
This last week's Doc appointment your heart beat was 150!  You also would not let the doctor catch your heart rate again!  Anytime she would put the machine on the belly you would kick it off, I guess you like your space and are very protective :)
How is Dad doing?
Dad is also getting impatient, but doing good with every step as it gets closer and closer.  Dad loves the fact that mom has been craving sweets because he gets to enjoy them with mom too!!  This weekend dad took mom on an afternoon date.  They enjoyed a movie and dinner - may be the last one for a while.  Dad also has his name picked out for little weldon!!!  The girl name is still under debate - but once they meet you they know it will come to them.
