Week 39: I'm almost done bakin'!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 39

~length
20 in | 50 cm
~weight
7 lbs | 3.1 kg
Your rocket-baby may have already launched, but for those of you still waiting for the signal, it's just a matter of time before this entire situation gets rollin'!
You're all ready to have your sweet little bun's first birthday party, but are you prepared for their inability to communicate with anything other than crying?
And how's mom doing?
Mom is doing good, still getting around but it might take her an extra minute or two to get up off the couch or climb the stairs.  Mom felt great this last week, her energy was back but she is skeptical what this week will bring as she could enter her last week of caring a heavy belly ;)  Mom is still feeling lots of movement, little Weldon has not slowed down.  This week your heartbeat was highest it has ever been at 160!  Mom still measured right on track and the doctor said, "see you next week!"  So she seems to think you are still in the mood to bake.  Mom can not believe how fast time has gone but when she looks back at the precious moment they found out they were blessed with you it seems like ages ago.  Her new intuition says you are a boy!!
Mom's feels her fingers swell the most at night when she is sleeping, she is still able to wear her wedding ring but it has gotten tight!  Feet and angles are cankles now but at night mom enjoys the last couple times she will be able to put her feet up and relax.  Mom is still able to workout and helps her feel better each day, she will be pushing the squats and elliptical till the end.
How is dad doing?
Dad is doing good, relaxed, ready and eager to still meet you!  He still feels you are a girl for some reason ;)  Dad also made a big step this week and got his hospital bag packed, he is ready!!
